JOHN TROY: A nationally-recognized leader in education talent recruitment and retention seeks to put his expertise to work for the Eanes community.

Growing up in Texas, I was raised by a kindergarten teacher and a small business owner.  After graduating from Texas A&M and beginning my career in finance, I transitioned to my true passion: ensuring every child has access to an excellent education that prepares them for a successful life of their own choosing. I have worked to accomplish this by developing education sector leaders and helping public schools recruit and retain the right talent for their teams.

After completing Duke Business School and then serving as a non-profit executive for several years, I founded my own company -- WorkMonger, and its partner TrulyHired -- unique job-matching platforms specifically designed for leaders in education.  My team and I have spoken at national education conferences, including SXSW EDU here in Austin, where this year I served as a Mentor.  As a passionate Dad with elementary-aged kids, I am eager to put my education sector experience to work for the next generation of Westlake grads.
